Purifen 200 is a pain-relieving medicine used for the symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, painful menstruation, and other musculoskeletal or dental pain.
Dexibuprofen, the active ingredient in Purifen, is the pharmacologically active enantiomer of racemic ibuprofen. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic action that works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing inflammation and pain.
Avoid concomitant use with anticoagulants, other NSAIDs, and salicylates. Increases risk of methotrexate and lithium toxicity.
