Myoson 50, 1 Strip

Myoson (Tolperisone Hydrochloride) is prescribed for the management of conditions associated with increased skeletal muscle tone and muscle stiffness, including:

• Elevated muscle tone resulting from neurological disorders such as pyramidal tract lesions, multiple sclerosis, myelopathy, and encephalomyelitis.
• Muscle spasms, muscle contractures, rigidity, and spinal automatism.
• Peripheral vascular disorders including obliterative arteriosclerosis, diabetic angiopathy, thromboangiitis obliterans (Buerger’s disease), Raynaud’s disease, and diffuse scleroderma.
• Certain cases of impaired venous and lymphatic circulation following thrombosis, as well as leg ulcers (crural ulcers).

Use the medicine only according to the advice of a registered physician.

Adults:

• 50 mg to 150 mg three times daily, depending on the patient's condition, response, and tolerability.

Children:

• 3 months to 6 years: 5 mg/kg body weight daily, divided into three doses.
• 6 to 14 years: 2–4 mg/kg body weight daily, divided into three doses.

Dosage should always be determined by a registered healthcare professional.

Concurrent use of Tolperisone with methocarbamol has been reported to cause disturbances in visual accommodation. Patients should inform their physician about all medications they are taking before starting treatment.

Myoson should not be used in patients who:

• Are allergic to Tolperisone Hydrochloride or any component of the formulation.
• Have myasthenia gravis.
• Are breastfeeding mothers.

The medication is generally well-tolerated. However, some individuals may experience:

• Muscle weakness
• Headache
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Allergic reactions such as itching, skin redness, or rash (rare)

If severe or persistent adverse effects occur, medical advice should be sought.

• During pregnancy, Tolperisone should be used only under medical supervision after careful assessment of the benefits and risks.
• The medicine is not recommended during breastfeeding.
• In pediatric patients, the prescribed dosage and duration of therapy should be followed carefully.
• Regular monitoring is recommended to ensure safe and effective treatment.
