Migraine attacks are associated with changes in cranial blood vessels and activation of the trigeminal pain pathway. Zolmitriptan selectively stimulates 5-HT1B/1D receptors, causing constriction of intracranial blood vessels and reducing the release of inflammatory neuropeptides. This helps relieve migraine headache and associated symptoms.

Nomi Nasal Spray contains Zolmitriptan, a selective serotonin (5-HT1) receptor agonist used for the acute treatment of migraine attacks. It works by constricting dilated blood vessels in the head and reducing the release of certain neuropeptides involved in migraine pain.
Use Nomi Nasal Spray exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
For acute migraine, the usual recommended dose of Zolmitriptan nasal spray is 5 mg administered into one nostril.
Zolmitriptan exposure and clearance may be altered in patients with severe renal impairment. Dose selection should therefore be individualized by the treating physician in patients with significant kidney dysfunction.
Patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment may require a lower dose and careful blood-pressure monitoring. Follow your doctor's specific dosing instructions.
Pregnancy: Zolmitriptan should be used during pregnancy only when the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
Lactation: It is not fully established whether Zolmitriptan is excreted into human breast milk. Consult a doctor before using this medicine while breastfeeding.
The safety and effectiveness of Zolmitriptan nasal spray in children and adolescents below 18 years of age have not been adequately established. It is therefore not routinely recommended for this age group unless specifically advised by a specialist.
Long-term or frequent use should be undertaken only under medical supervision. Prolonged exposure to Zolmitriptan may result in accumulation in melanin-rich tissues, including ocular tissues; the clinical significance of this finding is not fully established.
Nomi Nasal Spray is intended for the acute treatment of migraine attacks rather than continuous scheduled therapy. If a dose is prescribed and missed, follow your doctor's instructions. Do not use extra doses to compensate for a missed dose.
Zolmitriptan should only be used when the diagnosis of migraine has been established and other potentially serious neurological conditions have been excluded.
It may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing activities requiring mental alertness until you know how the medicine affects you.
Zolmitriptan may temporarily increase blood pressure. Blood pressure should be monitored, particularly in patients with a history of hypertension.
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience:
Contact your doctor if you develop abdominal pain, bloody diarrhea, or worsening hypertension while using this medicine.
Rare but serious cardiovascular reactions, including myocardial infarction, coronary vasospasm, and cardiac arrhythmias, have been reported with triptan therapy.
Patients with risk factors for coronary artery disease may require cardiovascular evaluation before treatment. These risk factors may include hypertension, diabetes, smoking, obesity, high cholesterol, certain age groups, or a family history of coronary artery disease.
Zolmitriptan is contraindicated in patients with established ischemic heart disease, previous myocardial infarction, coronary vasospasm, previous stroke or transient ischemic attack, uncontrolled or severe hypertension, or certain accessory conduction pathway disorders.
Store according to the manufacturer's instructions and keep the nasal spray protected from excessive heat, moisture, and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
