✔️ Dosage & Administration of Flurizin 5
Migraine Prevention:
Starting Dose:
- Adults (<65 years): 10 mg at bedtime.
- Elderly (>65 years): 5 mg daily.
If depressive, extrapyramidal, or other serious side effects occur, discontinue use.
If no improvement is seen after two months, treatment should be stopped.
Maintenance Dose:
- If effective, reduce the dose to five days per week (same daily dose), with two drug-free days.
- If treatment remains effective for six months, discontinue use; restart only if symptoms return.
Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD):
- 10 mg twice daily, increasing to 30 mg per day if needed.
Vertigo & Motion Sickness:
- Adults: 10-20 mg daily.
- Children (>40 kg): 5 mg daily.
Epileptic Seizures (as adjunct therapy):
- Adults: 15-20 mg daily.
- Children: 5-10 mg daily.

- Depression, particularly in women with a prior history.

Flurizin may cause drowsiness, which can be worsened by alcohol or sedatives. Avoid activities that require mental alertness, such as driving or operating heavy machinery.
This medication is not intended to stop an ongoing migraine attack. Do not increase the dose if an attack occurs.
It may cause extrapyramidal symptoms and depression, potentially triggering Parkinsonism, particularly in elderly or predisposed patients. Use with caution.
