✅ Description:
Sitamax is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including:
- Upper and lower respiratory tract infections such as:
- Laryngopharyngitis
- Tonsillitis
- Acute Bronchitis
- Pneumonia
- Secondary infections associated with chronic respiratory diseases
- Urinary tract infections:
- Cystitis
- Pyelonephritis
- Urethritis
- Cervicitis
- ENT infections:
- Otitis Media
- Sinusitis
- Dental and oral infections:
- Periodontitis
- Pericoronitis
- Osteitis of Jaw

✔️ Dosage & Administration of Sitamax 50
Recommended Dose:
- 50 mg twice daily or 100 mg once daily
Duration of Therapy:
- Laryngopharyngitis, tonsillitis, acute bronchitis: 3–7 days
- Pneumonia & chronic respiratory infections: 7 days
- Acute cystitis: 3 days
- Pyelonephritis & complicated UTI: 7–14 days
- Urethritis & cervicitis: 7 days
- Otitis media & sinusitis: 7 days
- Dental infections: 3–7 days
Dose Adjustment:
- In cases of inadequate response, dose may be increased to 100 mg twice daily
Special Populations:
- Not recommended for individuals under 18 years
- Use cautiously in patients with renal or hepatic impairment

- Rash
- Dizziness, headache
- Gastrointestinal disturbances (diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, bloating, indigestion, constipation)
- Oral inflammation (stomatitis)
Overdose Effects
- May cause phototoxic reactions upon exposure to UV light
- Dose-dependent QT interval prolongation may occur

- Hypersensitivity to Sitafloxacin or other quinolone antibiotics
- Pediatric patients (safety not established)

- Antacids containing aluminium or magnesium
- Calcium or iron-containing products
- Certain NSAIDs (e.g., ketoprofen)

- Lactation: Breastfeeding should be avoided during treatment

- Seizure disorders (e.g., epilepsy)
- Myasthenia Gravis
- Risk factors for aortic aneurysm or dissection
- Elderly patients with reduced physiological function
