Indications of Ciprocin XR 1 Tablet
Ciprofloxacin is used to treat a variety of infections, including those of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, pelvic inflammatory diseases, infectious diarrhea (such as Shigella dysenteries and Vibrio cholera), typhoid fever, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, gonorrhea, and patients with neutropenia.
Pharmacology of Ciprocin XR 1 Tablet
Synthesized fluoroquinolone antibiotics include ciprofloxacin. Both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria are susceptible to their bactericidal effects. It prevents the synthesis of bacterial DNA by interacting with the bacterial enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which are in charge of DNA supercoiling.

Interaction of Ciprocin XR 1 Tablet
Sucralfate, any calcium, iron, or zinc-containing drugs, as well as antacids that contain magnesium or aluminum, should not be taken at the same time as ciprofloxacin. Two hours after or six hours before using these products, ciprofloxacin can be taken. Since milk and other dairy products may significantly reduce Ciprofloxacin's absorption, it is not advised to take either drug together. The absorption of Ciprofloxacin is unaffected by dietary calcium when it is eaten with a meal.
Contraindications
Patients who have a history of quinolone hypersensitivity should stay away from Ciprofloxacin.
Side Effects of Ciprocin XR 1 Tablet
Possible side effects include nausea and other gastrointestinal issues, headache, dizziness, joint pain, and skin rashes.
Lactation and Pregnancy
There are no appropriate and well-controlled trials in pregnant women. Ciprofloxacin should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus and mother. Ciprofloxacin, which is excreted in human milk, is present. Because of the risk of articular injury, ciprofloxacin should not be taken while breastfeeding.
Storage Requirements
Maintain a temperature of less than 30°C and keep it away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
