Recommended adult dosages include:
- Antibiotic-associated diarrhea: 250–500 mg, 2–4 times daily
- C. difficile diarrhea: 1 g daily for 4 weeks with antibiotics
- Acute diarrhea: 250 mg twice daily for 5 days
- Crohn’s disease: 250 mg three times daily (up to 9 weeks)
- Ulcerative colitis: 250 mg three times daily
- H. pylori infection: 250–500 mg twice daily with standard therapy
- IBS-related diarrhea: 250 mg twice daily
- Traveler’s diarrhea: 250 mg once daily
- Children over 3 months: 250 mg twice daily for 5 days
- Children under 3 months: 125 mg twice daily for 5 days
