How Tulsi works

Tulsi is a mucolytic medication. It thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) in the nose, windpipe, and lungs making it easier to cough out.

How to use Tulsi

• Shake the bottle well before use. 
• Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack.
• Tulsi may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

• Wheezing
• Nausea
• Gastric discomfort
• GI bleeding
• Skin rash.

• Tulsi aids in the thinning and elimination of mucus (a slimy and adhesive material) from the lungs, treating a variety of breathing conditions.
• Use a specific dose-measuring spoon or cup, not a normal tablespoon, to measure the syrup.
• Inform your doctor if you have had or are presently experiencing stomach, liver, or renal problems.
• Inform your doctor if you are expecting, intend to become pregnant, or are currently nursing.

Indication of

• Bronchiectasis
• Mucolytic
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD)

Pharmacology

Carbocisteine has mucolytic properties. Carbocisteine inhibits goblet cell hyperplasia and thus plays a part in the treatment of diseases characterized by excessive mucous production.

Dosage & Administration

• Should be taken with food.

Adult Dose

• Oral As a mucolytic Adult: Initially, 750 mg tid, then 1.5 g daily in divided doses.

Child Dose

• Oral As a mucolytic Child: 2-5 yr: 62.5-125 mg 4 times daily; 6-12 yr: 250 mg tid.

Contraindication

Active peptic ulceration.

Pregnancy & Lactation

You must take the doctor's advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Precaution

• Do not use it if the seal is broken
• Read the label carefully before use

Storage Conditions

Store below 30°C temperature & in a dry place, protected from light. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
