✅ Description:
Eurocal-D is a combination of calcium carbonate and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) used to treat and prevent conditions caused by calcium and vitamin D deficiency, including osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, and certain parathyroid disorders. It is also given during pregnancy and lactation, in cases of osteogenesis and tooth development (as a supplement alongside primary treatment), in patients on anti-seizure medicines, and as a routine supplement or phosphate binder in chronic kidney disease.

✔️ Dosage & Administration
500 mg Calcium + 200 IU Vitamin D3: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily.
500 mg Calcium + 400 IU Vitamin D3: 1 tablet twice daily.
Best taken with or just after meals for improved absorption.
✔️ Side Effects
Generally well tolerated; occasional nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, constipation, dry mouth, increased thirst, or frequent urination may occur.
✔️ Interaction
May interact with calcium/aluminum/magnesium antacids, other calcium or vitamin D3 supplements, digoxin, and certain antibiotics like tetracyclines and doxycycline.

- Avoid use in hypercalcemia, hyperthyroidism, kidney stones (nephrolithiasis), and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome.
- Use cautiously in patients with heart or kidney disease.
