Indications of Carbocal-D Tablet
This medication is used to treat osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, and parathyroid disorders. Calcium supplements are frequently used to maintain appropriate food intake in circumstances such as pregnancy and breastfeeding, osteogenesis and tooth development (as an addition to definitive treatment), and anti-seizure drug therapy. In chronic renal failure, it is also used as a regular supplement and phosphate binder.
Pharmacology of Carbocal-D Tablet
This is a calcium carbonate and vitamin D3 formulation (Cholecalciferol). Calcium is required for many basic bodily processes, including bone development and maintenance. Calcium absorption and reabsorption are aided by vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 promotes bone growth as well. Clinical studies have shown that calcium and vitamin D3 work synergistically to promote bone development and prevent osteoporosis and bone fractures.
