Indications of Caldil PLUS Tablet

In addition to other conditions, this combination is used to treat osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, and parathyroid disorders. In situations like pregnancy and breastfeeding, osteogenesis and tooth formation (in addition to definitive treatment), and anti-seizure medication therapy, calcium supplements are frequently used to ensure proper dietary intake. It is also used as a supplement and phosphate binder in chronic renal failure.

Pharmacology of Caldil PLUS Tablet

This is the process for creating calcium carbonate and vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol). Numerous bodily processes, including bone formation and maintenance, depend on calcium. Vitamin D3 facilitates calcium absorption and reabsorption. Additionally, vitamin D3 supports the growth of bones. Clinical studies have demonstrated that calcium and vitamin D3 together support bone growth, osteoporosis prevention, and fracture prevention.

Dosage & Administration of Caldil PLUS Tablet 

• Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily. It is best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption.
• Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily. It is best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption.

Interaction of Caldil PLUS Tablet

It may interact with antacids containing calcium, aluminum, or magnesium, calcitriol, and other vitamin D3 supplements; digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline; and digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in cases of hypercalcemia, hyperthyroidism, renal calculi & nephrolithiasis, and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.

Side Effects of Caldil PLUS Tablet

It is well tolerated by the majority of people. If you have any side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, dry mouth, increased thirst, or excessive urination while taking this medication, tell your doctor. Constipation is a possibility.

Pregnancy & Lactation

This combination should be used as directed by a physician during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Precautions & Warnings

If there is any pre-existing heart disease or kidney disease, precautions should be taken.
