✔️ Uses of Leptic

• Panic disorder (with or without agoraphobia)
• Lennox-Gastaut syndrome
• Myoclonic seizures
• Akinetic seizures
• Absence (petit mal) seizures when other treatments are ineffective

✔️ Do not take Leptic if you have:

• Allergy to clonazepam or other benzodiazepines
• Severe liver disease
• Acute narrow-angle glaucoma

✔️ Use caution when taking Leptic with:

• Other medicines that cause drowsiness or suppress the central nervous system
• Valproic acid (may increase the risk of absence status)
• Alcohol
• Antidepressants, opioids, or sedatives

Leptic does not significantly affect the metabolism of phenytoin, carbamazepine, or phenobarbital, although caution is still advised when combining anticonvulsants.

✔️ Directions for Use:

• Take Leptic exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• It may be taken with or without food.
• Take it at the same time each day for consistent results.
• Do not stop taking the medicine suddenly, as this may increase the risk of withdrawal symptoms or seizures.

Pregnancy

• Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor. It may increase the risk of birth defects and may affect the newborn if used late in pregnancy.

Breastfeeding

Driving and Operating Machinery

Alcohol

✔️ Dosage & Administration

Adults (Seizure Disorders)

• Initial dose: Up to 1.5 mg daily in three divided doses.
• Dose may be increased by 0.5–1 mg every 3 days if required.
• Maximum daily dose: 20 mg.

Adults (Panic Disorder)

• Initial dose: 0.25 mg twice daily.
• The usual target dose is 1 mg daily, which may be reached after several days based on your doctor's advice.

Children

• Initial dose: 0.01–0.03 mg/kg/day in two or three divided doses.
• Maximum starting dose: 0.05 mg/kg/day.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue as usual. Do not take two doses together.
