✅ Description:
Allertin is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergic conditions such as itching, skin rashes, swelling, and hives (urticaria). It may also be used for symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, including nasal congestion.
- Take Allertin on an empty stomach, 1 hour before or 2 hours after food.
- Do not take it with fruit juice.
- Take it regularly as prescribed.
- Avoid alcohol if it makes you unusually sleepy or dizzy.
- Be careful when driving until you know how the medicine affects you.
- Do not stop or change the prescribed treatment without consulting your doctor.
Food can reduce the absorption of bilastine. Fruit juice, particularly grapefruit and other fruit juices, may also reduce its absorption and effectiveness.

✔️ How Allertin Works
Bilastine is a selective histamine H1-receptor antagonist. During an allergic reaction, histamine released from mast cells contributes to symptoms such as itching, swelling, redness, and rashes.
Bilastine blocks histamine from activating H1 receptors, thereby reducing allergic symptoms.
✔️ If You Miss a Dose
Take the missed dose when you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Adults and children over 12 years:
The usual dose is 20 mg once daily, or as prescribed by the doctor.
- Take Allertin on an empty stomach.
- Take it 1 hour before or 2 hours after food.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water.
- Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.
- Take it at approximately the same time each day for the best effect.

- Although bilastine is generally less sedating than many older antihistamines, drowsiness or dizziness can still occur.
- Avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing activities requiring concentration until you know how the medicine affects you.
- Avoid alcohol because it may increase drowsiness or dizziness.
- Inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
- If you are scheduled for an allergy test, inform your healthcare provider because antihistamines may interfere with some allergy-test results. Your doctor may advise stopping the medicine beforehand.
