Fona Plus Gel is a combination of adapalene and benzoyl peroxide. Adapalene is a topical retinoid, which helps regulate the skin cell cycle and prevents the accumulation of excess sebum and dead skin cells on hair follicles, ultimately reducing inflammation in the skin. Benzoyl peroxide, on the other hand, is a keratolytic agent with antimicrobial properties. It helps improve the skin's natural exfoliation process by removing dead skin cells and reduces the number of acne-causing bacteria on the skin. Together, these two drugs help unclog hair follicles and exfoliate dead skin cells, reducing acne breakouts.
Fona Plus Gel is used for the treatment of acne (pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads) on your face, back, and chest caused by bacteria. It helps in reducing excess oil production, blackheads, whiteheads, or painful lumps beneath your skin. This medicament works by stopping the growth of bacteria and reducing sebum secretion that causes acne.
Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide, two medications used to treat acne, are combined in the product Fona Plus Gel (pimples). Vitamin A in the form of adapalene and the keratolytic drug benzoyl peroxide. Together, they prevent the buildup of sebum (the skin's natural oil), clear the pores, and allow the outermost layers of skin to exfoliate naturally. Additionally, Benzoyl Peroxide penetrates the skin and kills the bacteria that cause acne.
Children below 12 years of age:
Safety and effectiveness in children below 12 years of age have not been established. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
Use of other potentially aggravating topical products concurrently should be approached with caution (cracked or rough cleansers and cleansers, cleansers, and makeup that have a strong drying impact, items with high concentrations of liquor, astringents, flavors, or lime). Exercise extra caution when combining Adapalene with arrangements that contain sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid. If any of these methods have been used, it is wise to wait to start Adapalene treatment until the effects of those methods have subsided in the skin. If the combined use of both medications is necessary, it is preferable to take them at two different times.
Adapalene should not be administered to individuals who are hypersensitive to Adapalene or any of its components.
Use Adapalene during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. It is not known whether this drug is excreted in breast milk. Exercise caution when administering Adapalene to a nursing mother.
