Lifil-E 200 Capsule

Lifil-E is a vitamin E supplement used to prevent and treat vitamin E deficiency. Because vitamin E acts as a powerful antioxidant, it is also used as supportive therapy in several conditions, including cardiovascular disease, male infertility, peripheral neuropathy, diabetes, obesity, age-related macular degeneration, and other disorders associated with oxidative stress.

Vitamin E protects cells from damage caused by free radicals. It helps maintain the integrity of cell membranes, protects red blood cells from destruction, and prevents oxidation of important nutrients such as vitamins A and C.

Dosage varies depending on the condition being treated:

• Vitamin E deficiency (adults): 200–400 mg daily
• Cardiovascular health: 400–800 mg daily
• Male infertility: 200–600 IU daily
• Age-related macular degeneration: 400–600 IU daily
• Rheumatoid arthritis: 600 IU daily
• Premenstrual syndrome: 400 IU daily
• Painful menstruation: 200 IU daily
• Children with deficiency: 200 mg daily

Vitamin E is generally well tolerated, but higher doses may cause:

• Diarrhea
• Abdominal discomfort
• Headache
• Fatigue
• Flatulence
• Blurred vision

Very high doses may increase the risk of bleeding or hemorrhagic stroke in susceptible individuals.

• Use cautiously if you are taking blood thinners such as warfarin.
• Patients with vitamin K deficiency should be monitored for bleeding.
• High-dose vitamin E may increase bleeding tendency.
• Monitor INR and coagulation parameters when used with anticoagulants.
• Use cautiously in individuals at increased risk of thrombosis.

Vitamin E may interact with:

• Warfarin and other anticoagulants (increased bleeding risk)
• Cholestyramine, colestipol, and orlistat (reduced vitamin E absorption)
• Iron supplements (high doses may reduce response to iron therapy)

• Known hypersensitivity to vitamin E or any component of the formulation

• High-dose vitamin E supplementation is generally not recommended during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester, unless prescribed by a physician.
• Use during breastfeeding is generally not recommended due to limited safety information.

Large doses (typically above 1000 IU daily) may cause:

• Nausea
• Abdominal discomfort
• Diarrhea
• Increased risk of bleeding

Treatment is usually supportive and symptoms resolve after discontinuation.
