How Fungidal-HC Cream works

Fungidal-HC Cream is a combination of two medicines. Hydrocortisone is a steroid that works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. Miconazole is an antifungal medication. It kills fungi by destroying the fungal cell membrane.

Fungidal-HC Cream contains (Hydrocortisone 1% + Miconazole Nitrate 2%) which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. Fungidal-HC Cream is used to treat all types of eczema (type of skin inflammation), dermatitis (itching), and insect bite reactions in affected individuals.  

Pharmacology

Miconazole, a substituted imidazole, belongs to the azole family and is useful in managing shallow candidiasis as well as the skin disorders dermatophytosis and pityriasis Versicolor, acanthamoeba, and seborrheic dermatitis. Furthermore, it is effective against Aspergillus spp., Cryptococcus neoformans, Pseudalescheria boydii, and a few gram-positive minutes
