Aluminum chloride is an effective antiperspirant that is applied to the skin to control severe excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis). It works by blocking the sweat glands. This causes the pressure of fluid within the sweat glands to rise to the point where it shuts off sweat production.

Dricare 20% Spray is normally well tolerated and adverse effects are only mild and short-lasting. But sometimes irritation of the skin like- stinging, burning, redness, swelling, tingling, or itching of treated skin areas may occur.

Indication of Dricare 20% Spray

Dricare 20% Spray, For Excessive Sweating is specifically designed to treat excessive perspiration, also known as hyperhidrosis. Its active ingredient, Aluminium chloride, is highly effective in controlling severe sweating. It works by blocking the sweat glands, which increases the pressure of fluid within the glands and ultimately shuts off sweat production.

It is important to note that this medicine should only be applied to small areas of the skin, such as the armpits, hands, or feet. This targeted application ensures that there are no adverse effects from widespread pore blocking or obstruction of sweating. Pharmacology

Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate acts locally in the stratum corneum and terminal duct to relieve hyperhidrosis. Aluminum salts cause an obstruction of the ducts of sweat glands at the skin's surface.

Dosage & Administration of Dricare 20% Spray

• Topical Apply the solution once daily before bedtime to the problematic area (such as the scalp, underarms, palms, and soles) and wash it off in the morning.
• Wash well and pat dry the area before application
• Apply the gel directly to the affected area such as your palm, foot or underarms
• Do not apply on injured or irritated skin
• Allow the Spray to dry completely
• Apply again for more than two nights in a row until the desired result (a lack of perspiration) is attained. Once or twice weekly treatments may then be added as necessary.
• See the enclosed leaflet for details Always dry the affected areas thoroughly before applying (otherwise irritation may occur)
• Initially apply once daily, last thing at night
• In the morning, wash off if possible (but not necessary) and do not reapply during the day.
• After the first week, you should notice as considerable improvement. Once sweating stops during the day, you can reduce applications to twice a week or less.

Interaction

There are no known drug interactions for Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate topical solution.

Contraindications

Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
