✅ Description:
Alneed Plus Capsule, This combination product contains a mineral (iron) along with three vitamins (vitamin C, vitamin B12, and folic acid). It is used to treat or prevent a lack of these nutrients which may occur in certain health conditions such as anemia, pregnancy, poor diet, or surgery recovery.
- Iron: Essential for red blood cell production.
- Vitamin C: Improves iron absorption.
- Vitamin B: Important for normal blood, cells, and nerves.
- Folic Acid: Needed for healthy cell formation, especially red blood cells.
Treatment or prevention of nutrient deficiency in conditions like anemia, pregnancy, poor diet, or surgery recovery.
- Take orally, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor.
- Best taken on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
- If stomach upset occurs, may be taken with food.
- Avoid antacids, dairy products, tea, or coffee within 2 hours before or after this medication to maintain its effectiveness.
- Take with a full glass of water (8 ounces or 240 milliliters) unless directed otherwise by your doctor.
- Avoid lying down for at least 10 minutes after taking this medication.
Important Note for Women:
- Women of childbearing age should ensure adequate folic acid intake to prevent spinal cord birth defects.

- Zinc Sulfate: Precipitates protein, and exhibits astringent and weak antiseptic activity. Produces mild vasodilation. Can be used orally or systemically as a zinc supplement.
- Iron: Essential mineral with roles in making red blood cells and preventing iron deficiency anemia.
- Folic Acid: Essential for coenzyme production in metabolic systems, nucleoprotein synthesis, and erythropoiesis.
- Nicotinamide: Vitamin B3 derivative, incorporated into coenzymes involved in cellular metabolic pathways.
- Vitamin C: Necessary for collagen formation, tissue repair, oxidation/reduction reactions, and metabolic pathways.
- Vitamin B Complex: Various B vitamins with distinct roles in maintaining cell health and energy.

- Generally well-tolerated. However, a few allergic reactions may be seen.
✔️ Dosage of Alneed Plus Capsule
- One capsule daily. In more severe cases, 2 capsules a day may be required or as directed by the physician.
✔️ Administration of Alneed Plus Capsule
- Iron: Antacids may decrease the absorption of carbonyl iron.
- Folic acid: Interactions with antiepileptics, oral contraceptives, anti-TB drugs, alcohol, aminopterin, methotrexate, pyrimethamine, trimethoprim, sulphonamides, and decreases serum phenytoin concentrations.
- Vitamin C: Interactions with desferrioxamine, hormonal contraceptives, fluphenazine, warfarin, elemental iron, salicylates, fluphenazine, disulfiram, mexiletine, vitamin B12.

- Care should be taken in patients who may develop iron overloads, such as those with hemochromatosis, hemolytic anemia, or red cell aplasia.
- Iron chelates with tetracycline, and absorption may be impaired.
- Lactation: Present in breast milk, use caution.
✔️ Renal Dose of Alneed Plus Capsule
- Iron: Essential component in the formation of hemoglobin; necessary for effective erythropoiesis; also serves as a cofactor of several essential enzymes.
- Folic acid: Required for nucleoprotein synthesis and maintenance of normal erythropoiesis; prevents neural tube defects in women of childbearing potential.
- Zinc: Cofactor in over 100 enzymes; supports a healthy immune system; assists in proper function of insulin.
- Vitamin B: Plays a role in lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, tissue respiration, glycogenolysis, inhibition of VLDL synthesis.
- Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin): Required for normal erythropoiesis, nucleoprotein, myelin synthesis, cell reproduction, and normal growth; necessary for normal tissue respiration.
- Vitamin C: Necessary for collagen formation, tissue repair, oxidation/reduction reactions, synthesis of catecholamines, carnitine, and steroids.

- Allergic sensitizations were reported following both oral and parenteral administration of folic acid.
- Iron: Gastrointestinal disturbances may occur but are usually mild. Iron may turn stools black.

- Patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
- All iron compounds are contraindicated in patients with hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis, or hemolytic anemias.
- Pernicious anemia is a contraindication, as folic acid may obscure its signs and symptoms.
