• Dapotin 30mg Tablet has the potential to interact with several medications such as anti-psychotics (lithium, phenothiazine), antibiotics (erythromycin, linezolid, clarithromycin, telithromycin), amino acid (tryptophan), painkillers (aspirin, ibuprofen, tramadol), anti-HIV drugs (nelfinavir, atazanavir, saquinavir, ritonavir, fosamprenavir, amprenavir), anti-fungal drugs (ketoconazole, itraconazole, fluconazole), anti-depressants (nefazodone), calcium channel blockers (verapamil, diltiazem), impotence agents (vardenafil, tadalafil, sildenafil), anti-emetics (aprepitant), BPH agents, and anti-migraine drugs.
• It is not advisable to consume St. John's wort (an herbal supplement used to treat depression) while taking Dapotin 30mg Tablet. Grapefruit juice should be avoided within 24 hours of taking Dapotin 30mg Tablet as it may increase the drug's level in the body.
• If you have a history of cardiovascular/heart disease, low blood pressure causing dizziness, depression, mania, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, epilepsy/fits, bleeding or blood clotting disorders, glaucoma, kidney problems, or moderate to severe liver problems, you should inform your doctor before taking Dapotin 30mg Tablet.

Contraindications

Dapoxetine HCl should not be taken by individuals who have a known hypersensitivity to it or any of its components. Patients with significant cardiac conditions, such as heart failure (NYHA class II-IV), untreated conduction abnormalities (2nd- or 3rd-degree AV block or sick sinus syndrome), significant ischemic heart disease, or significant valvular disease, should avoid taking this medication. It is also contraindicated for use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of discontinuing MAOI treatment. Similarly, an MAOI should not be administered within 7 days after Dapoxetine has been stopped. Thioridazine use is also contraindicated while taking Dapoxetine or within 14 days of discontinuing thioridazine treatment. Thioridazine should not be administered within 7 days after Dapoxetine has been discontinued. Concomitant use of serotonin reuptake inhibitors [selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs)] or other medicinal/herbal products with serotonergic effects, or within 14 days of discontinuing treatment with these products, is also not recommended. Similarly, these products should not be administered within 7 days after Dapoxetine has been discontinued.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Dapoxetine is not recommended for women. Dapoxetine and its metabolites are not known to be excreted in human breast milk.

• This medication is not intended for use in women.
• Dapotin 30mg Tablet may cause dizziness, sleepiness, fainting, or blurred vision, so be cautious while driving.
• Drinking alcohol should be avoided as it may cause increased dizziness.
• This medication is not recommended for children under 18 years old, as its safety and effectiveness have not been established.
• When standing up suddenly, rise slowly as Dapotin 30mg Tablet may cause dizziness.
• Men below 18 years old or above 65 years old should not use Dapotin 30mg Tablet.
