Stafen 0.025% Eye Drops

Stafen 0.025% contains Ketotifen, an antihistamine and anti-allergic medicine used to relieve eye inflammation caused by allergies. It helps reduce eye redness, itching, watering and irritation associated with allergic eye conditions. This medicine is for ophthalmic use only.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before use.
• Tilt your head backward and gently pull down the lower eyelid.
• Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching the eye or surrounding surfaces.
• Squeeze the prescribed number of drops into the lower eyelid pocket.
• Close your eye gently and wipe away any excess liquid.
• Close the bottle immediately after use.
• If you use other eye medicines, leave at least 5 minutes between applications.

Possible side effects include:

1. Eye irritation, burning or stinging
2. Dry eyes
3. Increased sensitivity to light (photophobia)
4. Eye redness or inflammation
5. Excessive tearing
6. Eyelid discomfort or swelling
7. Temporary blurred vision

• Stafen 0.025% should not be used by anyone with a known allergy to Ketotifen or any of the product's ingredients.
• Contact lenses: Remove soft contact lenses before applying the drops because the preservative benzalkonium chloride may accumulate in them. Wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting lenses, unless the product label advises otherwise.
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface to prevent contamination.
• Temporary blurred vision may occur. Avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision is clear.
• Consult a doctor if you have glaucoma, an eye infection or persistent eye symptoms before using this medicine.

If you are using other eye drops or eye ointments, maintain an interval of at least 5 minutes between applications. Inform your doctor about other medicines you use, particularly other eye medications.

Pregnancy: Adequate controlled studies of Ketotifen eye drops in pregnant women are limited. Consult your doctor before use.

Breastfeeding: Systemic absorption from eye drops is expected to be low, but medical advice is recommended before use during breastfeeding.

1. Excessive use may cause increased eye irritation or other side effects. If you accidentally use too much or experience unusual symptoms, seek medical advice.
2. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light, according to the product label.
3. Close the bottle immediately after use.
4. Do not use the eye drops more than 4 weeks after opening, if specified by the manufacturer.
5. Keep out of reach of children.
6. Do not use the product if the seal is broken before first use.
