✅ Description:
Lotecare T is indicated for steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions where a corticosteroid is required and bacterial infection or risk of bacterial infection exists. It is used in:
- Inflammatory conditions of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea, and anterior segment (e.g., allergic conjunctivitis, acne rosacea, superficial punctate keratitis, herpes zoster keratitis, iritis, cyclitis).
- Chronic anterior uveitis.
- Chemical, radiation, thermal burns, or foreign body penetration cause corneal injuries.
- Post-operative inflammation after ocular surgery.
Note: Use only under the supervision of a registered physician.

- Increased intraocular pressure (IOP)
- Burning or stinging upon instillation
- Vision disturbances, itching, discharge, photophobia, and corneal deposits
- Ocular discomfort and eyelid disorders
- Non-ocular adverse effects such as headache
✔️ Dosage & Administration
- General Use: Shake well before use. Instill one drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours.
- Severe Conditions: In the first 24 to 48 hours, the dosage can be increased to every 1 to 2 hours.
- Pediatric Use: Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
Note: Use only as prescribed by a registered physician.
✔️ Drug Interaction
- Loteprednol Etabonate is not detected in plasma following topical use, so it is not expected to interact with systemic medications.
✔️ Contraindications
- Viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva (e.g., epithelial herpes simplex keratitis, vaccinia, varicella).
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the preparation or other corticosteroids.Pregnancy & Lactation

- Pregnancy: Insufficient studies in pregnant women; use only if the potential benefit justifies the risk to the fetus.
- Lactation: Use with caution as safety in nursing mothers is not fully established.
✔️ Precautions & Warnings
- If used for more than 10 days, monitor intraocular pressure.
- Long-term use may increase the risk of fungal infections in the cornea and overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms, including fungi.
- If superinfection occurs, initiate appropriate therapy.
- Cross-sensitivity with other aminoglycosides may occur.

- Store at room temperature, away from light.
- Do not freeze.
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
- Do not use the contents more than 4 weeks after opening the bottle.
