Fusidic acid is an antibacterial agent that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by interfering with the elongation factor involved in protein production. This prevents susceptible bacteria from growing and multiplying.

The viscous formulation helps the medicine remain in contact with the surface of the eye for an extended period.

• Adults and children aged 2 years and older: The supplied product information recommends one drop in the affected eye or eyes twice daily for 7 days. Treatment duration should follow the prescribing physician's instructions.
• Wash your hands before applying the drops.
• Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid.
• Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching the eye, eyelid, fingers, or any other surface.
• Gently squeeze one drop into the space between the lower eyelid and the eye.
• Close your eye gently for a short time and wipe away excess liquid with a clean tissue.
• Replace the cap securely after use.
• If you use other eye drops, leave at least 5 minutes between applications unless your physician advises otherwise.
