Advil Pain Reliever Fever Reducer, Ibuprofen 200mg Tablets, 50ct

Advil Tablets contain ibuprofen 200 mg, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve mild to moderate pain and reduce fever. Each pack contains 50 coated tablets that are designed to be easy to swallow and may provide relief for up to 6 hours.

They can be used for headaches, back pain, joint and minor arthritis pain, menstrual cramps, muscle aches, toothache, and minor aches associated with the common cold, as well as fever. They are intended for adults and children aged 12 years and older.

Ingredients

Active ingredient:
Ibuprofen 200 mg — NSAID pain reliever and fever reducer.

Inactive ingredients:
Acetylated monoglycerides, colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, methylparaben, microcrystalline cellulose, pharmaceutical glaze, pharmaceutical ink, povidone, pregelatinized starch, propylparaben, sodium benzoate, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearic acid, sucrose, synthetic iron oxide, titanium dioxide, and white wax.

Directions

Adults and children 12 years and older: Take 1 tablet every 4–6 hours while symptoms continue. If one tablet does not adequately relieve pain or fever, 2 tablets may be taken. Do not exceed 6 tablets within 24 hours, unless specifically instructed by a doctor.

Take the medicine with food or milk if it causes stomach discomfort. Do not take more than the recommended dose or use it for longer than directed.

Important Warnings

Ibuprofen can cause serious allergic reactions, particularly in people who are allergic to aspirin or other NSAIDs. Seek immediate medical attention if symptoms such as hives, facial swelling, wheezing, difficulty breathing, severe rash, or blistering occur.

This medicine may also cause serious stomach bleeding. The risk is higher in people aged 60 or above, those with a history of ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding, people taking blood thinners or steroids, those using other NSAIDs, or those who consume three or more alcoholic drinks daily while using the medicine.

Ask a Doctor Before Use If You:

• Have high blood pressure or heart disease.
• Have liver disease or cirrhosis.
• Have asthma.
• Have a history of stomach problems or heartburn.
• Have previously experienced side effects from pain relievers.
• Take diuretics or other medications.
• Take aspirin to reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke, because ibuprofen may interfere with aspirin's protective effect.
• Are under medical care for another serious health condition.

When to Stop and Seek Medical Advice

Stop using the medicine and consult a doctor if you experience signs of stomach bleeding, such as vomiting blood, black or bloody stools, persistent stomach pain, or feeling faint. Medical advice should also be sought if pain lasts longer than 10 days, fever continues for more than 3 days, redness or swelling develops in the painful area, or new symptoms appear.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Consult a doctor or healthcare professional before using ibuprofen during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Ibuprofen should generally not be used during the last 3 months of pregnancy unless specifically directed by a doctor, as it may harm the unborn baby or cause complications during delivery.

Keep out of reach of children. In case of an overdose, seek emergency medical assistance or contact a poison control center immediately. Do not use the product if the safety seal is broken or missing.
