Dermasim 1% Topical Solution is an antifungal medication that treats skin infections. It works by killing the fungi on the skin by destroying their cell membrane.
Dermasim 1% Solution includes Clotrimazole, a medication from the class of drugs known as azole antifungal agents. It is used to treat fungal nappy rash in infants, ringworm, athlete's foot, sweat rash, and other cutaneous fungal diseases. Clotrimazole works topically by preventing the manufacture of fungal ergosterol, which causes the fungal cell membrane to rupture and inhibits fungal growth.
Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal. It also exhibits activity against Trichomonas, Staphylococci, Streptococci, and Bacteroides. Clotrimazole kills fungi and yeasts by interfering with their cell membranes. It works by stopping the production of ergosterol, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes resulting in increased membrane permeability and leakage of essential constituents of the fungal cells.
Recommended duration of treatment :
Clotrimazole solution is odorless, can be washed off, and does not stain.
If you have clotrimazole or any other ingredient allergy, do not use Dermasim 1% Topical Solution.
