Amlodipine and olmesartan are a combination of medicines that may be used alone or with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure adds to the workload of the heart and arteries. If it continues for a long time, the heart and arteries may not function properly. This can damage the blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys, resulting in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure. Lowering blood pressure can reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks.
Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking a substance in the body that causes the blood vessels to tighten. As a result, olmesartan relaxes blood vessels. This lowers blood pressure and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart.
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). It affects the movement of calcium into the cells of the heart and blood vessels. As a result, amlodipine relaxes the blood vessels and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart while reducing its workload.

Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Orbapin 5/40, as it could aggravate your dizziness and tiredness.
Pregnancy

Orbapin 5/40 is not recommended in early pregnancy and must not be taken if you are more than 3 months pregnant, as it may cause serious harm to your baby if used at that stage.
Breastfeeding
UNSAFE
Orbapin 5/40 is not recommended for mothers who are breastfeeding, and your doctor may choose another treatment for you if you wish to breast-feed, especially if your baby is newborn or was born prematurely.
Driving
CAUTION
Do not drive or operate any tools or machines if you experience dizziness, sleepiness, or headache after taking the medicine.
Kidney
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Orbapin 5/40 is not recommended for use in patients with impaired kidney function and should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems or with a surgical history of kidney transplant.
Liver
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Orbapin 5/40 is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver problems (such as biliary obstruction, gallstones, and jaundice) and should be used with caution in patients with liver disease.
