- Adhatoda vasica: Contains vasicine and vasicinone, which soothe throat irritation and act as an expectorant.
- Glycyrrhiza glabra: Contains glycyrrhizin, used as a cough expectorant and for sore throats.
- Zingiber officinale: Used in the treatment of cold, asthma, and bronchitis, with antiviral activity against human respiratory syncytial virus.
- Cinnamomum zeylanicum: Contains phenolic compounds and flavonoids with antioxidant and antimicrobial activities.
- Elettaria cardamomum: Contains various compounds with antiseptic, expectorant, anti-spasmodic, and antioxidant properties.

- Children under 12 years: 1-2 teaspoonfuls (5-10 ml) 3 times daily
- Adults: 3 teaspoonfuls (15 ml) 2-3 times daily or as directed by the physician
