This is an anti-tuberculosis medication. It is used to treat active cases of tuberculosis infection. Tuberculosis is a serious bacterial infection caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It primarily affects the lungs, but may also invade the brain, spinal cord, heart, kidney, and other organs. It is characterized by persistent cough with mucus, blood-stained phlegm, shortness of breath, weight loss, fever, extreme tiredness, stomach pain, headache, and fits.

✅ Description:

Rifcin 150 Capsule is an antibiotic, used in the treatment of all forms of tuberculosis, an infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs and, in some cases, other parts of the body. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines to fight serious infections.

Tuberculosis- Adult- 8-12 mg/kg once daily. Less than- 50 kg- 450 mg daily, above 50 kg- 600 mg daily. Child- 10-20 mg/kg daily. Maximum dose- 600 mg/day.
Rifcin 150 Capsule may also be given to people who are carriers (people who are infected, yet do not show any signs or symptoms of infection). It should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before a meal or 2 hours after a meal. It should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor.
