EZETROL is a medicine to lower increased levels of cholesterol. EZETROL lowers levels of total cholesterol, “bad” cholesterol (LDL cholesterol), and fatty substances called triglycerides in the blood.

Ezetrol 10mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown side effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable even with the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Ezetimibe works by blocking the absorption of cholesterol in the small intestine. This leads to a reduction in the amount of cholesterol that enters the bloodstream.

Unlike statins, which reduce cholesterol production in the liver, Ezetrol targets intestinal absorption, making it effective as part of combination therapy.

Standard dose: 10 mg once daily, with or without food

Can be used alone or with statins/fibrates
