Methovate-N cream is indicated for the treatment of superficial infections caused by gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms. It is also useful in burns, wound healing, otitis externa, postoperative infections, neurodermatitis, eczema, and as an adjunct to systemic steroid therapy in certain types of pyoderma. It has antimicrobial properties effective against infection-causing microorganisms. Methovate-N is meant for external use only. Use it as directed by your doctor, avoiding application on open wounds and contact with eyes or mouth
Methovate-N is indicated for lichen planus, psoriasis, eczema, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, lichen simplex, and prurigo nodularis.
Betamethasone treats inflammatory dermatoses, including psoriasis, while Neomycin acts as a broad-spectrum antibiotic, inhibiting bacterial growth.
Betamethasone, an active topical corticosteroid, rapidly treats inflammatory dermatoses and various types of skin diseases like psoriasis. Neomycin Sulfate is a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic effective against gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens, aiding in the treatment of infected skin conditions.
Prolonged use may lead to skin changes such as thinning and pigmentation alterations. Common side effects include a burning sensation, pruritus, allergic contact dermatitis, and eye-related issues with ophthalmic preparations.
For adults, apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected skin 3 to 4 times daily. In chronic conditions, treatment withdrawal involves decreasing the frequency of application until the cream is used as infrequently as once a week. For children, do not use on those under 1 year old, and treatment duration should not exceed 5 days without physician instruction.
No significant drug interactions have been reported with Methovate-N cream.
Hypersensitivity to any component of the cream, perforated eardrum in otitis externa cases, and skin lesions caused by viral or fungal infections.
Extensive use during pregnancy should be avoided.
Avoid long-term continuous therapy to prevent the development of resistant microorganisms. Use Methovate-N cream accurately and only in infected areas.
Store below 30°C, away from light and moisture, and out of reach of children.
