Pharmacology

When used against Gram-positive bacteria, including those that make penicillinase, flucloxacillin is successful. Gram-negative bacilli are barely affected by their weak antimicrobial properties. Flucloxacillin functions by stopping the formation of bacterial cell membranes. The isoxazolyl penicillin flucloxacillin unites stomach acid stability, resilience to penicillinase hydrolysis, and activity against gram-positive pathogens. A bactericidal drug called flucloxacillin is particularly powerful against staphylococci that make penicillinase. Flucloxacillin destroys bacterial cell membranes, which prevents the formation of peptidoglycan. A heteropolymeric material called peptidoglycan provides the cell wall with its mechanical rigidity. The conclusion of the cross-linking with the pentaglycin bridge's terminal glycine residue attaching to the pentapeptide's fourth residue is the final step in the synthesis of peptidoglycans. (D-alanine). The transpeptidase enzyme, which completes this process, is inhibited by flucloxacillin. Dosage & Administrations of Flubex 500 Capsule

Adult: 

• Four doses of 250 milligrams. In case of serious illnesses, dosage may be increased. Up to 8 gm per day in split amounts of 6–8 hours is used for osteomyelitis and endocarditis.
