Tylen Plus is effective in relieving:
Paracetamol, which acts as an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer), though it has minimal anti-inflammatory properties.
Caffeine, a xanthine derivative, enhances paracetamol’s effectiveness by improving its solubility and absorption across membranes. It also raises the pain threshold and tightens cerebral blood vessels, making it especially beneficial in treating headaches and migraine.
Usually well-tolerated, but possible side effects include:
Blood disorders like thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, pancytopenia, or agranulocytosis
Rarely, pancreatitis, skin rash, or other allergic reactions
Early symptoms: Nausea, vomiting, pallor, abdominal pain, loss of appetite
Within 12–40 hours, signs of liver damage may appear
Can cause metabolic acidosis and abnormal glucose metabolism
Adults (12 years and above): 1–2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours
Maximum dosage: Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours
Not recommended for children under 12 years
Follow your doctor’s advice for proper dosing.
May reduce effectiveness when taken with anticonvulsants (e.g., phenytoin, barbiturates, carbamazepine)
Can increase bleeding risk with long-term use alongside warfarin or other anticoagulants
Enhanced absorption with metoclopramide and domperidone
Caution with probenecid, chloramphenicol, colestyramine, and phenothiazines
