Mizolastine is a non-sedating antihistamine that blocks H1 receptors in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, blood vessels, and respiratory system. It also helps stabilize mast cells, reducing allergic reactions.

✔️ Overdose Management
- In case of overdose, continuous heart monitoring (QT interval and cardiac rhythm) for at least 24 hours is advised.
- Standard measures should be taken to remove unabsorbed drugs.
- Hemodialysis does not significantly improve drug clearance.
✔️ Dosage & Administration
- Adults & children over 12 years: One 10 mg tablet per day.
- Children under 12 years: Not recommended.
✔️ Interaction
- Ketoconazole, Erythromycin, and Amiodarone can increase the plasma concentration of Mastel possibly leading to arrhythmia risk.
- Use caution when combining with Ciclosporin or other CYP450 3A4 enzyme inhibitors.
- Alcohol does not appear to enhance sedation or impair performance when taken with Mastel.

- Have serious heart disease or a history of arrhythmia
- Have QT prolongation or electrolyte imbalances (especially low potassium)
- Experience bradycardia (slow heart rate)
- Have liver dysfunction
- Take medications that slow its metabolism
- Are allergic to Mizolastine
