Dexamethasone 5mg/ml-

How does Gludex IM/IV injection work?
Gludex IM/IV is a steroid that works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.

Pharmacology
Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid that decreases inflammation, inhibiting leukocyte migration and reducing capillary permeability. It suppresses the normal immune response.
Dosage & Administration of Gludex IM/IV injection
Given intravenously (IV), intramuscularly (IM), or locally. The dosage depends on the severity, usually 0.05-0.20 mg/kg for systemic therapy in adults.
Interaction
- Diuretics and/or cardiac glycosides.
- Antidiabetics.
- Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
- Oral anticoagulants.
- Less effective with liver enzyme-inducing drugs.
Contraindications
- Gastric and duodenal ulcers.
- Systemic and ophthalmic fungal infections.
- Viral infections.
- Glaucoma.
- Hypersensitivity to corticosteroids.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Category C. Use during pregnancy only if benefits justify risks. Glucocorticoids appear in breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings
