Interaction

Cholestyramine, Colestipol, and Neomycin are known to reduce the absorption of carotene. Long-term use of oral contraceptives containing estrogen, tetracycline, or aspirin has been found to decrease vitamin C levels in the blood. This reduction in vitamin C levels may be due to drug-induced impaired absorption or increased utilization of the vitamin for drug metabolism.

Pregnancy & Lactation
