Cappades is a dietary supplement made from plant extracts.
Caper Fruit: The Cappades extract is obtained from the flower bud of the plant to make the most of its properties. The "heart" of Cappades originates from natural cultivations in a corner of the Mediterranean, the island of Pantelleria. Current knowledge attributes significant and interesting biological activities to the flower buds, thanks to the presence of specific flavonoids, which contribute to the functionality of the upper respiratory tract.
A study conducted on humans at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Catania (Bonina et al., 2005) assessed the positive effects of Cappades components.
- Olive (Leaf): Known for its ability to counteract free radicals, it is an effective antioxidant.
- Black Currant (Leaf): Traditionally known for its antioxidant properties, thanks to the content of vitamin C and natural phytosterols, it contributes to the well-being of the nose and throat.
