Product Information
Description
In the category of antiseptic cream, SAVLON offers two SKUs in pack sizes of 30 gm and 60 gm. Savlon Cream offers a two-step anti-germ solution. Any skin wound is treated, and by accelerating the three stages of wound closure—inflammation, tissue formation, and tissue remodeling—the wound heals more quickly. It provides both skin hydration and microbial defense, fulfilling a dual purpose.
Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to the product or any of its components, especially in
those with a history of possible chlorhexidine digluconate-related allergic
reactions
Precaution & Warnings
Overdose
Due to the poor absorption of chlorhexidine digluconate and cetrimide, accidental ingestion is unlikely to have any systemic effects. However, ingesting high concentrations may result in esophageal damage and necrosis, which may cause symptoms like nausea and vomiting. Due to the paralysis of the respiratory muscles caused by cetrimide's depolarizing muscle relaxant properties, toxic symptoms such as dyspnea and cyanosis that may result in asphyxia include. Hypotension, coma, death, and CNS depression (sometimes accompanied by excitement and convulsions) are other possible outcomes.
