✅ Description:
M-Kast 10 mg (Montelukast) works by blocking cysteinyl leukotriene (CysLT1) receptors. Leukotrienes (LTC4, LTD4, LTE4), produced from arachidonic acid in inflammatory cells like mast cells and eosinophils, contribute to airway inflammation, bronchoconstriction, and mucus production.
By inhibiting these receptors, M-Kast reduces airway swelling, prevents bronchospasm, and improves allergy symptoms.
M-Kast 10 mg is used for:
- Prevention and long-term management of asthma
- Prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB)
- Relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (both seasonal and perennial)
