• Medications Changed by the Liver (Cytochrome P450 3A4 Substrates): DHEA might affect how the liver breaks down certain medications, altering their effects.
• Tamoxifen (Nolvadex): DHEA could decrease the effects of tamoxifen, a medication for estrogen-sensitive cancers. Avoid DHEA if taking tamoxifen.
• Triazolam (Halcion): DHEA might increase the effects and side effects of triazolam, a medication for sleep.
• Anticoagulant / Antiplatelet Drugs (Medications that Slow Blood Clotting): DHEA might slow blood clotting, increasing the risk of bruising and bleeding when taken with blood-thinning medications.
