✔️ Pharmacology:
- Vitis vinifera (Grapes): Contains proanthocyanidins (PCOs) which neutralize harmful free radicals and strengthen capillary walls. PCOs inhibit the release of inflammatory chemicals and slow histamine release, beneficial for allergies and asthma.
- Resveratrol: An antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound found in grapes, protecting against COPD and asthma by inhibiting inflammatory mediators and preserving VEGF signaling, which may protect against emphysema. It also has cardioprotective actions by inhibiting LDL oxidation, smooth muscle cell proliferation, and platelet aggregation.

Resveratrol is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and found in the blood as a glucuronide conjugate. It is excreted mainly through urine as various metabolites.
