Indication of Night Fresh Eye Ointment

• White soft paraffin, Liquid paraffin & Wool alcohol combination eye ointment is indicated for dry eye conditions, especially useful at night due to prolonged retention in the eye compared to drops.
• It serves as adjunctive therapy to lubricate and protect the eye in various conditions such as exposure keratitis, decreased corneal sensitivity, recurrent corneal erosions, keratitis sicca, and following ophthalmic surgery.

Mode of Action:

• Acts as an ocular lubricant.

Pharmacology:

• This combination of eye ointment forms a transparent, lubricating, and moistening film on the surface of the eyeball.
• It provides soothing relief from symptoms of dry eyes like soreness, irritation, or a gritty sensation.
• Effective in conditions where tears are insufficient to keep the eye moist, or due to certain medical conditions or treatments.
• Also helps protect the eyeball, beneficial for individuals experiencing recurrent corneal epithelial erosion.

Dosage & Administration of Night Fresh Eye Ointment

Administration:

• Pull down the lower lid of the affected eye and apply a small amount (one-fourth inch) of ointment to the inside of the lower eyelid.

Adult Dose:

• Apply a small amount of ointment at bedtime.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to any components of the medication.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Pregnancy: No specific data on use during pregnancy, but the components are considered pharmacologically inert, non-irritating, and nontoxic.
• Lactation: It's unknown if the components are excreted in human milk.

Precautions & Warnings:
