Perindopril, a non-sulfhydryl ACE (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme) inhibitor, lowers blood pressure primarily by suppressing the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS). After oral intake, perindopril is converted to its active metabolite, perindoprilat, which blocks ACE activity—thus reducing the formation of angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor. Coversyl Plus is not recommended for use in patients with kidney artery stenosis (narrowing of blood vessels to one or both kidneys). Coversyl Plus should be used with caution with patients having other kidney problems or under dialysis. Consult your doctor before taking Coversyl Plus.

Symptoms may include:
The recommended dose is 1 to 2 tablets once daily, preferably taken in the morning before a meal.
In patients with renal impairment, start at a lower dose with close monitoring.
Enhanced hypotension may occur with the concurrent use of antihypertensives or antipsychotics.
NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, diclofenac) may diminish the antihypertensive effect.
ARBs and potassium-sparing diuretics may increase the risk of hyperkalemia.
Patients with known hypersensitivity to Perindopril, Indapamide, other ACE inhibitors, or sulfonamide derivatives.
Not recommended during pregnancy due to potential fetal toxicity.
Breastfeeding mothers should avoid using this medication.
