Dosage & Administration of Bislol 5mg Tablet

Hypertension: 

• The patient's needs should be taken into account while determining the Bisoprolol dose. The first dosage is commonly 5 mg once daily. For certain persons, a beginning dosage of 2.5 mg can be suitable. If the antihypertensive effects of 5 mg are insufficient, once-daily doses of 10 mg and 20 mg may be utilized.

Angina: 

• Usually, 10 mg once daily, with a daily maximum of 20 mg (5 mg may be adequate in some cases).

Heart failure: 

1.25 mg once daily (in the morning) for the first week, 2.5 mg once daily for the second week, and 3.75 mg once daily for the third week if well tolerated; For the next four weeks, take 5 mg once daily; for the next four weeks, take 7.5 mg once daily; and ultimately, take 10 mg once daily at most.

Renal Dose:

• Renal impairment: CrCl (ml/min) <40 Initial: 2.5 mg/day.

Interactions

• Bislol 5 Tablet should not be taken if you are pregnant or nursing.
• Do not use this medication if you are allergic to bisoprolol or any other component.

Contraindications

Right ventricular failure secondary to pulmonary hypertension and sinus bradycardia in individuals with cardiogenic shock, overt heart failure, second or third-degree A-V block, and sinus bradycardia.

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Bislol 5 Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy as it may harm your fetus. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant.

Precautions & Warnings:
