Casalt-D is a combination of Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol).
- Calcium: Essential for many normal bodily functions, particularly bone formation and maintenance.
- Vitamin D3: Aids in the absorption and reabsorption of calcium and stimulates bone formation. Clinical studies have shown that Calcium and Vitamin D3 together help in bone growth and the prevention of osteoporosis and bone fractures.
✔️ Generally well tolerated, but possible side effects include:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Stomach cramps
- Dry mouth
- Increased thirst
- Increased urination
- Constipation
✔️ Dosage & Administration:
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily. Best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption.
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily. Best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption.
✔️ Symptoms of overdose may include:
- Nausea and vomiting
- Severe drowsiness
- Dry mouth
- Loss of appetite
- Metallic taste
- Stomach cramps
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Constipation
✔️ Possible interactions include:
- Calcium, aluminum, or magnesium-containing antacids
- Other calcium supplements
- Calcitriol and other Vitamin D3 supplements
- Digoxin
- Tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline

- Hypercalcemia
- Hyperthyroidism
- Renal calculi
- Nephrolithiasis
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
