Indication of Cinaron 15mg Tablet

It is used in adults and in adolescents (aged 12 years or above) to:

• Treat motion sickness (feeling nausea which is caused due to motion or traveling)
• Treat vertigo (spinning sensation) and other balance disorders such as Meniere’s disease
• Treat problems caused due to poor blood circulation in the limbs (such as Raynaud’s phenomenon, painful muscle spasms in the legs, varicose veins, coldness or numbness in the extremities)
• Treat problems caused due to poor blood circulation in the brain (such as irritability, loss of memory, and lack of concentration)
• Prevent migraine headaches

Pharmacology

Cinnarizine has multiple pharmacological actions, including calcium-channel blocking activity, antihistamine activity, and labyrinthine sedative effects. As a calcium antagonist, it selectively blocks the influx of calcium ions into arterial smooth muscle cells, leading to vasodilation and improved microcirculation. Dosage & Administration ofCinaron 15mg Tablet

Adults:

• Motion sickness: 30mg, taken 2 hours before travel, followed by 15mg every 8 hours during the journey if needed.
• Peripheral arterial disease: 75mg, taken twice or three times a day.
• Cerebrovascular disorders: 75mg, taken once daily.
• Vertigo and vestibular disorders: 30mg three times a day or 75mg one to two times daily.

Children (5-12 years):

• Motion sickness: 15mg, taken 2 hours before travel, followed by 7.5mg every 8 hours during the journey if needed.
• Vertigo and vestibular disorders: 15mg three times a day.

Interaction

Interaction with Alcohol: It is advised to avoid or limit alcohol consumption while using Cinaron 15mg Tablet 10's. Drinking alcohol can increase the sedative effects of the medication, and it is recommended to refrain from activities such as driving or operating heavy machinery.

Interaction with Lab Test - Skin Sensitivity Test: Inform your doctor about the use of Cinaron 15mg Tablet 10's before undergoing a skin sensitivity test. The medication may interfere with the test and lead to false-negative results. It is recommended to stop using Cinaron 15mg Tablet 10's at least four days before the scheduled test.

Interaction with Other Medicines:

• Amitriptyline: Inform your doctor if you are using Amitriptyline or Cinaron 15mg Tablet 10's. Dose adjustment and closer monitoring of symptoms may be necessary when using these medications together.
