Pharmacology of Tenocab 25 Tablet

This fixed-dose combination of amlodipine and atenolol. a dihydropyridine calcium antagonist that inhibits calcium influx into both cardiac muscle and vascular smooth muscle, with vascular smooth muscle being more affected than cardiac muscle. Amlodipine is a peripheral vasodilator that works directly on vascular smooth muscle to lower blood pressure and peripheral vascular resistance. Amlodipine lowers afterload by reducing coronary vasoreactivity, coronary vasoreactivity, and tone, which reduces cardiac demand.

beta-blocker with cardioselectivity A beta-blocker is atenolol. A dose-dependent cardio-selectivity exists. By lowering cardiac output, plasma renin activity, and sympathetic outflow from the central nervous system, it reduces blood pressure (CNS). Tenocab 25 Tablet Dosage & Administration

• Adult: This therapy is started with a single dose of this preparation; however, titration of the dosage is advised based on the therapeutic response.
• When treating senior people, it is recommended to start treatment with a fixed-dose combination of 2.5 mg of amlodipine and 25 mg of atenolol from a half-tablet.

Interaction of Tenocab 25 Tablet

This drug's 20% clearance is reduced by this medicine. The possibility exists that the heart will experience cumulatively harmful inotropic effects.

Ampicillin may reduce the concentrations of atenolol in doses of 1 gram and higher.

Beta-blockers and oral antidiabetics can be related. Atenolol, in comparison, has a lower risk of these side effects.

Precautions & Warnings

• This combination should be used cautiously in patients with airway obstruction.
• Patients who suffer from renal impairment can gain from the combination. Care is indicated if your creatinine clearance is less than 30 ml/min due to a possible reduction in the excretion of unmodified Atenolol.
• Caution should be exercised when using the combo because Amlodipine's elimination half-life is prolonged in people with significant liver damage.
