Riboflavin Tablet is used for Deficiency of vitamin b2, Microcytic anemia, Vitamin b2 deficiency, and other conditions.

Riboflavin, also known as vitamin B2, is a water-soluble micronutrient that is essential for human health. It, like the other B vitamins, aids in energy production by assisting in the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. Vitamin B2 is also required for red blood cell formation and respiration, antibody production, and the regulation of human growth and reproduction. It is necessary for healthy skin, nails, hair, and overall health, including thyroid activity regulation. Riboflavin can also help prevent or treat a variety of eye diseases, including cataracts in some cases. It binds to the enzymes riboflavin hydrogenase, riboflavin kinase, and riboflavin synthase. Riboflavin is a precursor to flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) (FAD). Riboflavin's antioxidant activity stems primarily from its role as a precursor of FAD and as a cofactor in the production of antioxidant-reduced glutathione. Reduced glutathione is a cofactor for glutathione peroxidase, which contains selenium. The main antioxidant enzyme is glutathione peroxidase. The FAD-containing enzyme glutathione reductase produces reduced glutathione.

Dosage & Administration of Riboson 5mg Tablet

Adult Dose: For adults with riboflavin deficiency syndromes, the recommended dose is 5-30 mg per day, taken orally in divided doses.

Child Dose: For children with riboflavin deficiency, the recommended dose varies based on age:

• Children below 3 years: Not established
• Children between 3-12 years: 3-10 mg per day, taken orally in divided doses
• Children above 12 years: 5-30 mg per day, taken orally in divided doses

Riboflavin 10mg tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor, preferably at a fixed time. Take riboflavin with food. Do not consume more than that recommended by your doctor.
