Indications of Fluver 10mg Tablet

Fluver 10 is a medication used to prevent migraines. It will not, however, treat an acute migraine attack and will only work to prevent migraines for as long as you continue to take the medication. This medication relaxes the brain, which helps to prevent migraine headaches.

Pharmacology

Cinnarizine's difluorinated subordinate is fluver 10. It could be a calcium channel antagonist. Flunarizine prevents cellular calcium overload by decreasing intemperate transmembrane calcium convergence. It has no effect on normal cellular calcium homeostasis. Flunarizine has antihistaminic and narcotic properties as well. It has a 99% affinity for plasma protein.

Dosage and Administration of Fluver 10mg Tablet

• Fluver 10mg Tablet can be used as prophylaxis for migraine headaches. The initial dosage is 10mg taken at night for patients below 65 years old and 5mg daily for patients above 65 years old. If any undesirable symptoms such as depression or extrapyramidal symptoms occur during treatment, they should be stopped. If there is no significant improvement observed after 2 months of treatment, the patient should be considered a non-responder and the medication should be discontinued.
• If the patient responds well to the treatment and requires maintenance treatment, the dosage should be reduced to 5 days of treatment with the same daily dosage and two consecutive medication-free days each week. If the prophylactic maintenance treatment is successful and well-tolerated, it should be stopped after 6 months and only restarted if the patient relapses.
• For peripheral vascular disease, the dosage can be increased up to 30mg per day if necessary, taken twice daily at a dose of 10mg.
• For vertigo and motion sickness, adults can take 10-20mg daily, while children over 40kg can take 5mg daily.
• For epileptic seizures, adults can take 15-20mg daily, and children can take 5-10mg daily as an add-on treatment. It is important to consult a doctor before starting any treatment and to follow their instructions carefully.

Interaction

Galactorrhoea has been reported in a few women taking oral contraceptives during the first two months of Flunarizine treatment. Flunarizine may be associated with hepatic protein inducers such as carbamazepine and phenytoin by expanding its digestion system. As a result, an increase in flunarizine measurement may be required.

Contraindications

Precautions & Warnings

Flunarizine may cause tiredness that is exacerbated by concurrent alcohol or other central nervous system depressants. Patients should be cautioned against driving engine vehicles or performing other potentially hazardous tasks where a lack of mental readiness may result in mishaps. Flunarizine should not be used to end a headache attack prematurely. The possibility of an attack is thus no reason to increase the dosage of Flunarizine. This treatment may cause extrapyramidal and depressive symptoms, as well as the discovery of Parkinsonism, especially in vulnerable patients such as the elderly. Flunarizine should therefore be used with caution in such patients.
