- Peptic Ulcer Disease: Both gastric and duodenal ulcers.
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Especially in patients with associated erosive esophagitis.
- NSAID-Associated Ulceration: Prevents and treats ulcers caused by prolonged NSAID use.
- Helicobacter pylori Eradication: Used in combination with antibiotics to treat ulcers associated with H. pylori infection.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: A condition characterized by excessive gastric acid production.

✔️ Dosage and Administration of Pansec 40
Oral Administration
- Benign Gastric Ulcers: 40 mg once daily in the morning for 4 weeks, with an additional 4 weeks if healing is incomplete.
- GERD: 20-40 mg once daily in the morning for 4 weeks, extendable by another 4 weeks if required. Maintenance dose: 20 mg daily, which can be increased to 40 mg.
- Duodenal Ulcers: 40 mg daily in the morning for 2 weeks, extendable by another 2 weeks if necessary.
- H. pylori Eradication:
- 40 mg twice daily with:
- Amoxicillin (1 g) and Clarithromycin (500 mg) twice daily for one week, or
- Clarithromycin (250 mg) and Metronidazole (400 mg) twice daily for one week.
- 40 mg twice daily with:
- NSAID-Associated Ulcers: Prophylactic dose: 20 mg daily for patients requiring long-term NSAID therapy.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Initial dose of 80 mg daily, adjusted based on patient response. Elderly patients should not exceed 40 mg daily.
