How Timex 25 works

Timex 25 Tablet is a tricyclic antidepressant. It increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression.

Indications of Timex 25 Tablet

A tricyclic antidepressant is Timex 25. Adults who suffer from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder can use it (OCD). It also manages depression that is resistant to other medications and treats the muscular weakness (cataplexy) linked to recurrent episodes of sleepiness (narcolepsy). Timex 25 works by raising the concentrations of the brain's chemical messengers that balance and improve mood. Because it may make you feel sleepy, it is best to take it before bed. It can be taken with or without food, but for best results, take it at the same time every day. Your doctor will decide on the dosage and time frame so that you receive the proper amount to manage your symptoms

Pharmacology of Timex Tablet

One drug in the group of medications referred to as "tricyclic antidepressants" is clomipramine hydrochloride. This is thought to work by either boosting the amount of chemical "messengers" in the brain or lengthening the time that they remain active. A potent serotonin reuptake inhibitor in the brain is clomipramine. It is important that cholinergic and 1-receptors are antagonistic. There is little resistance at dopamine receptors. Additionally, it has sedative, anticholinergic, and antidepressant properties.

Dosage of Timex Tablet

The usual dosages for adults are as follows:

• From 10 to 150 mg per day for depression. Higher doses might be required in severe cases.
• 10 mg to 150 mg per day for phobias and obsessive thoughts.
• Ten to seventy-five mg per day for cataplexy
• The elderly: Because they are more likely to experience side effects, elderly patients frequently require a lower dose.

Administration of Timex Tablet

• Swallow these capsules whole with a drink of water. Do not chew, crush or break it.
• Keep taking your medicine until your doctor tells you to stop. Do not stop because you do not feel any better.
• This medicine may take up to 4 weeks to work.
• The medicine may be taken in one dose at night or in smaller doses at intervals during the day.

Interaction of Timex Tablet

Do not take this if you are currently on or have just stopped taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), which are antidepressant medications.

Contraindications

• There is a history of hypersensitivity to clomipramine or any of the excipients in the tablet.
• cross-hypersensitivity to tricyclic antidepressants in the dibenzazepine class.
• concurrent use with an MAO inhibitor, within 14 days of an irreversible MAO inhibitor therapy or after, within 14 days of a reversible MAO inhibitor therapy or after, or within 14 days of the reversible MAO inhibitor moclobemide.
• The two stages of myocardial infarction are acute and recovery.

What if you forget to take Timex Tablet

If you miss a dose of Timex Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Timex Tablet is not recommended for use in pregnancy unless necessary. If you are pregnant, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Clomipramine enters into human milk, thus newborns should be weaned or clomipramine should be progressively removed.

Precautions & Warnings

Before taking your medication, check with your physician or pharmacist if:

• You're an epileptic
• Have an overactive thyroid gland and an adrenal gland tumor (cancer) (such as phaeochromocytoma or neuroblastoma),
• Have Low blood pressure,
• Low potassium levels in your blood, or blood disorder.
• Wear contact lenses,
• You've experienced chronic, severe constipation,
• You frequently consider suicide,
• You've had a head injury and experienced brain damage,
• You'll soon undergo ECT (electroconvulsive therapy),
• An irregular heartbeat or other heart issues (hypokalemia),
• Suffering from schizophrenia or another mental illness,
• Have glaucoma and are elderly (increased pressure in the eye), ill kidneys or liver.
• You suffer from trouble urinating (e.g. due to diseases of the prostate)

While using Timex 25 Tablet, routine blood tests are advised to evaluate liver and heart health. Additionally, it is encouraged to get routine dental exams while using Timex 25 Tablet since a dry mouth might raise the risk of tooth decay.

Storage Conditions

Keep out of children's reach and sight. Heat and moisture should be kept away from the Tablets.
