✔️ Dosage & Administration of Brezofil Syrup

For Elderly Patients:

💊 200 mg tablet – twice or three times daily.

For Adults:

💊 400 mg tablet – twice or three times daily (or as prescribed by the physician).

For Children:

👦 Above 12 years: 10 ml syrup or 200 mg tablet – twice or three times daily.
👧 6-12 years: 6-9 mg/kg body weight, twice daily. (Example: If a child weighs 10 kg, the dose is 3 ml (60 mg) twice daily.)

🔹 If the daily requirement of Doxophylline is 400 mg, a sustained-release (SR) tablet should be taken once daily.

✔️ Possible Side Effects of Brezofil

Patients taking Brezofil may experience:
⚠ Common side effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain.
• Headache, irritability, and difficulty sleeping (insomnia).
• Rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) and irregular heartbeats (extrasystoles).
• Breathing difficulties (tachypnea).

⚠ Rare side effects:

• High blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia).
• Protein in urine (albuminuria).

⚠ Overdose Warning:

• May cause severe heart rhythm disturbances and tonic-clonic seizures.

🚫 Do not use Brezofil if you have:

❌ Low blood pressure (hypotension).
